Philippians 2:16  "holding forth the word of life..."

Our Vision for the Church in the Last Days

Who We Are -

Hope for the Nations is a non-profit tax exempt organization that was founded in 2002 for the purpose of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world by means of practical  ministry to the needy, teaching and preaching of the Word of God, and training  international leadership to do the same.

The Founders

The founder, Brian Gustafson is a 1979 Christ for the Nations graduate, attended North Central Bible School in Minneapolis, has his  Batchlors degree through CLIMB institute, and is ordained through the Omega Team in Minnesota. He met his wife Sharon in 1980 while attending NCBC, and in May of 1981 they were married while Brian was also in full-time ministry. They worked together for six years in home missions to the Native Americans and those with disabilities and then began a ministry overseas. In 1992 they and their four young children moved to South Africa to work with a ministry there reaching thousands of the indigenous people. During the two years they spent there, Brian taught pastors in a Bible school, traveled around the country with an evangelistic team, ministered and preached, and strarted a  village church not far from their hometown of Newcastle.

In 1994 they returned to the US taking up secular work for a season, during  they traveled on many short term mission trips, ministering in eight African nations and South America. Their ministry began to be marked by healings and miracles as the spoke in conferences, crusades, and the local church. During this time several thousand souls came into the kingdom of God, hundreds were healed, filled with the Holy Spirit, and delivered. Then things began to change.

Pain, wounding, and trials from within the local church caused them to question many things within the modern church. They asked, "How does the church today compare to the church of the New Testament?" "How has our preaching and primary focus in  the message changed" What did they preach back then? and how does it compare to today?" and "What does proper church governmebnt look like, and what should be our primary purpose?" This led them on a journey to find again basic foundational truths, and the message Jesus and our forefathers preached.

The Truth  has Fallen

It became apparent to Brian and Sharon that the modern day church had moved far away from what was really preached back in Jesus day. The message of repentance, the kingdom of God, resurrection of the dead, the cross, sanctification, eternal judgment, the coming of the Lord, etc. had been replaced with 'how to be blessed, how to obtain your destiny, how to feel good about yourself, how to become rich, and licensing a return to sin in the name of grace, etc. After studying many of our modern new topics and revelation that have come into the church, Brian began to realize this had been prophesied by Jesus in Matthew 24:4-,. 11,.and 24; by Paul in Acts 20:29-30, 2 Tim 4:3-4, and 2 Th 2:1-4, etc.; Peter in 2 Pt 2:1-3, and many other scriptures.

The Last Days Church

This has caused Brian and Sharon to become totally aware of the days we are living in now - THE LAST DAYS! If we believe the account of scripture, we must recognize that we are not only the in the end times, we are the last generation. In 2014, Brian and Sharon moved to Uganda. There they began a ministry reaching out to churches and church leadership. Between 2014 and 2019 they traveled extensively holding conferences, crusades, and local church meetings.  They spoke a message teaching on the last days and the imminent return of our Lord, and on Biblical Foundations, exhorting the church to return to the true gospel again. Since then, they have held over 100 conferences and seminars in Uganda and eastern Africa. The results have varied from rejection to revival. Not everyone wants the truth but those who do find the presence of the Lord truly manifested. Jesus honors His Word!

 Vision for the Future

Today, truth has 'fallen in the streets' Isa 59:14-15 in our society, government, and the church, and if there will be a revival of any kind in these last days, we as the church must return to the true message! The desire of Hope for the Nations is for truth to again be preached in the church, bringing change to lives, communities, governments, and nations. HFN is now beginning to launch out into SE Asia. Our desire is to see a mission training center established in the Philippines, Australia, and Thailand. These bases would be launching pads of the gospel into much of the Eastern world. Within SE Asia are over four billion souls, mostly unreached with the gospel.
